  1. I feel like trading in my 2007 Chevy Avalanche for this thing. I get poor gas mileage. the only thing I don't like about this car is how awful it looks. but I'm willing to give up the heavy Chevy for the Prius

  2. looks like i'm not the only one who thinks it's ugly….and that dash…couldn't they just keep it traditional?

  3. Who ever thought anyone would use a 1984 Ford EXP as a styling queue. This is officially the ugliest car in history.

  4. I really love my '11 prius… but there is no way I am going to buy this monstrosity. Hopefully Tesla will release a better looking cheaper car before I return to the market.

  5. I went to Toyota dealer today and looking for 2016 Prius. Front is nice, rear is okay. The interior is very ugly because of the white combination on the console. I asked the sales man if the console comes with other than white and he said no. I am going to wait for the 2017 hoping Toyota will change the white to gray.

  6. hope its better than my piece of crap Sienna . Toyota had to repaint my new vehicle . Since then the seat belt broke ,the steering column broke ,the arm rest broke ,the glove box broke and the rear seat is stuck . Worse vehicle then my Chrysler ! No more Toyotas for me ..

  7. The new Prius looks hideous. The last car wasn't a looker, but at least it wasn't ugly. Also the MPG improvement is nice…but the fail to mention the drop in power (134hp -> 122hp) to achieve those same numbers. The Hybrid Synergy Drive also isn't as radical in improvement as the EPA numbers let you believe. A progressive, if uninteresting evolution…

This is why I think the Volt jump from 2015 to 2016 makes Chevrolet looks REALLY good; the mk2 Volt is a better looker than the mk1, the car hp is identical but torque is up (279lb/ft to 295lb/ft) while increasing its MPG numbers on the gas extender engine (38MPG -> 42MPG). Sure on paper the numbers still favor the Prius, until you realize the Volt is leaps & bounds ahead for the first ~50 miles of 106MPGe, something the Prius lacks until the newer PiP arrives.

I'm disappointed Toyota. The only argument I see CR has at this point is probably Toyota's owner satisfaction & reliability being a trump card. Just like all of their Vanilla choices in the entire market.

  8. I wonder how many people would like this vehicle if it wasn't named Prius. I think the name is getting everyone to not like the new body style

  9. the main reason for people to buy a Prius is its a Toyota and to show they are better then everyone else because they care more about the planet then you.

  10. this is just ugly for no reason, but u love the interior… if I was into high brands and eco cars The exterior styling would be the ONLY dealbreaker
