5 Worst Cheap Hotels on the Las Vegas Strip

The top 5 worst cheap hotels on the Las Vegas Strip. Thinking of booking a cheap hotel in Las Vegas? You might want to reconsider if it’s one of these hotels! Las Vegas has some amazing luxury hotels, and then it is also some really really awful hotels. Based on tripadvisor rankings, I walk through the five worst cheap hotels on the strip.

5. Excalibur Hotel:
3.5 Stars with 3,588 Reviews

The Excalibur is big and soulless. The problems are with the size of the hotel, its a giant over 4500 rooms, many rooms have awful views in to the depressing courtyard. Long check-in lines… often waits of 45 minutes The whole hotel has a musty/smoky smell, that you don’t get in other Las Vegas Strip hotels.

4. Hooters Hotel
3 Stars with 3,646 Reviews

The Hooters hotel is very dated. Looks like it hasn’t been kept up since it was built. They could at least do better with cleaning with a facility this run down. It was slightly better than a Motel 6. Starting Advertised room price of $36 become almost $60 at booking checkout the to additional $27 per night as resort fee. This hotel is in desperate need of renovation. The only glimmer of hope was the food and the hospitality staff inside of the Hooters restaurant.

3. Travel Lodge Center Strip
$67 / night
3 stars with 1,079 Reviews

If you’re interested in a location in the heart of Las Vegas: this is perfect. If you care about feeling safe, clean room and nice surroundings: the don’t stay at the Travel Lodge Las Vegas Center Strip. The windows looked like someone had try to pry them open in the past. I did not feel safe in this hotel. The corners of the hotel inner courtyard were used as urinals by pedestrians of the strip crossing the hotel entrance.

2. Travel Lodge Las Vegas
$37 / night
3 Stars with 537 Reviews

The Travel Lodge Las Vegas hotel has a good location right next to the Circus Circus hotel on the Las Vegas Strip. However, it has nothing else. You get what you pay for so don’t be expecting much. The outside stairs coming from downstairs to the second floor smelled like human urine.

1. Circus Circus Manor Motor Lodge
$19.80 / night
2.5 Stars with 295 Reviews

Located in the back of the Circus Circus hotel, the Circus Circus manor rooms are extremely old and run down. The place is filthy , the carpet is disgusting . The windows on the doors are dirty filthy. The wallpaper in the halls is peeling off and looks nasty. A step above a homeless shelter. Entire hotel has a wet smell to it.

  1. Have you stayed at some awful Las Vegas strip hotels? Maybe one of these? Or did I miss another awful cheap hotel that should've been in this list?

  2. I have heard many people have good experiences at the Excalibur Hotel. Also if it smells like marijuana thats great ! 🙂

  3. There is a shit hole motel as soon as you cross sahara onto north side of strip forget name but shit hole.

  4. Personally if I'm going to Vegas I'm going to stay in a real nice room why do people try to be cheap and ball just save up then do it right!

  5. Who’s dumbass tourist gonna stay in travelodge? most people check in there have a pick up girls so ofcourse what do u expect.

  6. The Pink Door hotel. Worst ever.
Forced to stay there for my wedding. Smelled like 80's. Smoke filled rooms penetrated everything.
But you could smoke weed there. Which made it a little better.

  7. Pretty much all hotels on strip have 25 to $35 daily resort fees, so comment is irrelevant when comparing to other hotels.

  8. Hotels are not safe to stay to keep it short they are dangerous don't get near any hotels or near Vegas

  9. Totally agree with your list man…but also some honorable mention are : buffalo bill and wiskey petes …never again at those

  10. Ditto on Circus Circus…the cheap room, no curtains, Windows wouldn't close, the filthiest, gray carpet I have ever seen, cigarette burns on carpet and bed, smelled like vomit, I spent two minutes in that room. Went to front desk, told them a homeless person wouldn't stay there. I paid an additional $60.00 a night to get a fairly decent room. Checked out next morning. Absolutely disgusting!! Felt like the old, bait and switch had been pulled on me…

  11. Vegas well..SUCKS! It's a crowded, over priced, dirty, crime ridden shit hole. If you have to go to this place I would suggest you stay in Henderson /Green Valley where you can get a hotel that's clean and not a dump and drive over to the strip. M Resort Spa Casino is a good place.

  12. I like the Platinum– one block off the strip on Flamingo- quiet big rooms . with views . -reasonable prices.

  13. If these rooms are so cheap, why didn't you get one or all of them and inspect them yourself instead of just going by trip visor reviews?

  14. I wonder… There isn't any "Department" or however it's called on USA dependent of the State that check all this Hotels and approve them to work? Here in Argentina when you stay in tourist areas you can complain and they will actually go check the hotel and make sure everything is as it should be. They don't need to follow any standard?

  15. The excalibur charges you 30 dollars as a resort fee for each night just so you could use the hotel’s phone and wifi, unlike Mandalay bay which has the option to pay the resort fee for the breakfast buffet in the excalibur you have to pay

  16. I have never had an issue with Excaliber, for sub $100/night they are well worth the money. If you want opulance, then stay at the huge resorts. I could have easily listed 4 other hotels but the other 4 are definitely spot on. I used to stay at the Travel lodge Center Strip years ago for New Years because it was dirt cheap and a place to put your stuff. Eventually people caught on, I was long gone before it turned to shit. I have never stayed at the Hooters Hotel, I parked in the back once, the elevator felt like it was falling apart so we left. The Circ Circ Manors were great when I was a kid, I have no reason to stay at that hotel anymore, I do not recommend any part of that hotel because it needs to be torn down and rebuilt. My advice to you is to actually travel to Vegas and experience it for yourself, I feel your video was lame for its authenticity.

  17. the resort fee is a part of the check in. you get it at every hotel. if youre pinching pennies, then dont travel.

  18. I agree, I will never stay at all of hotels mentioned in this video. Circus Circus is cool for gang bangers

  19. So, you went to film the outside and some inside of the places and read Internet reviews? Nice effort.

  20. None of these should be a surprise to anyone really. Thats why there are hundreds of sites with feedback on hotels…
