Aladdin is a great Disney movie for children depending on religious and moral beliefs. This movie takes place in the desert many years ago. There, an orphan teen named Aladdin survives by stealing. The sultan’s daughter, Jasmine decides to run away from her well planned out life and runs into Aladdin where they quickly become friends. The guards catch them for stealing and the princess is told that her new friend was killed for his crimes. Instead the Royal adviser, Jafar takes Aladdin on a quest to find the legendary Genie’s lamp. Of course, as soon as Jafar gets what he wants, he leaves Aladdin behind. Luckily, Aladdin used his pocket picking skills before Jafar left him behind and uses the magic lamp to escape. Now he must find the new love of his life, but he thinks that her future with him will be short lived since he is not a prince. So he uses a wish to become a very wealthy prince.
Now disguised, Aladdin has a hard time winning the princesses heart, since her heart belongs to the boy that she met in the market a few days earlier. Jafar also does not recognize him, but plans to marry the princess himself and does anything he can to make this come true. This even includes discovering that the prince before him is the same boy he left to die in the caves. He then steals the lamp and makes his wishes. He also tries to kill Aladdin many times since the princess appears to be warming up to the fake prince. Jasmine then discovers who he really is during the fury of Jafar.
Remember that since this movie does take place in the desert, they do worship Allah there, so keep this in mind when picking who to watch this film. Also, when Aladdin is angry for being left behind, he does call Jafar a son of a jackal, which is also something to keep in mind. However, this film is very colorful and funny since Robin Williams does the voice of the Genie. This is a great film.
