9. It's a beautifully done film, from beginning to end, whimsical, outrageous and touching, too – the cast, the visuals, the story, all top-notch.

23. I thought Alice in Wonderland (the cartoon) was scary so I didn't watch the first live version until this year because a friend sort of forced me too. Within 2 minutes of the movie, I was completely into it. I have become obsessed recently and watched the original again and thought it marvelous. I'm about to watch this one, and I have the best expectations of it!

    This movie just felt really weird compared to the first one (most likely due to Tim directing AiW and not AttLG – you can tell the style of this movie is completely different). Too bright and cheery and childish IMO.

    Not hating on this film of course. I actually quite enjoyed it, but it didn't live up to the original movie. What I really enjoyed about that one was the darker elements that came with it. It stood out compared to other fantasy films, such as this one, with this being too bright and colorful, both visually and story-wise.

    Anyway, that's just my two cents. This wasn't a bad film, they just could've done more with it, I think.
