Alien Planet Racing, from Purplebeard, is a brand-new exciting and fast-paced racing game for Android that is sure to keep players occupied for quite awhile.
Concept and Gameplay
If you’ve played popular Android games like Mad Skills Motocross and similar games, you’re pretty much already familiar with how Alien Planet Racing works.
Essentially the goal of the game is to make your vehicle travel as far as possible in order to earn coins and unlock upgrades, additional vehicles, and even new maps.
Alien Planet Racing is very easy to figure out, but it takes a bit of time to master gameplay and get the hang of in-game physics. In order to play, you must choose the stage you want and your vehicle.
To make the vehicle move forward, tap and hold the right petal on the bottom of your device’s screen. To brake and reverse, tap the left petal on the other side of the screen.
While you might be tempted to hold the gas pedal down and floor it, Alien Planet Racing is very unforgiving when it comes to physics. There are tons of hills to maneuver around, and if you happen to land your vehicle upside down, the game is over.
As far as gameplay goes, Alien Planet Racing is pretty much your standard racing over obstacles type of game. However, I do like the fact that there are a ton of vehicles and stages to choose from, though it’ll take a long time to unlock them via coins.
I do wish it were possible to unlock stages and vehicles with a secondary method along with coins, such as a high score.
Alien Planet Racing has a few neat features which improve gameplay. My favorite is the fact that you can spend coins to upgrade parts on your vehicle, such as suspension, traction, engine power, and mid-air control.
If you find yourself having trouble when you play the game for the first time, make sure you spend your coins on these valuable upgrades in order to improve your car’s abilities and control to make things a bit easier.
Alien Planet Racing is available to download from Google Play for free, and players can opt to purchase coins via in-app purchase if they want to expedite the process of unlocking vehicles and stages.
Overall, if you’re looking for a great racing game that’ll help you kill time while challenging you to best your personal high score, you definitely can’t go wrong with Alien Planet Racing.
