Audi A5 Coupe 2017 review | Mat Watson Reviews

At first glance the Audi A5 may look familiar, that’s because it shares the same chassis design as the Audi A4 Saloon but, with more passenger and boot space, despite being 60kg lighter than the saloon. However, the A5 isn’t competing against its saloon brother, but rather stiff competition from the BMW 4 Series and Mercedes C-Class Coupe. So in what areas does the A5 shine, or is this car a solid all rounder? Find out all my thoughts in this in-depth video review.

  1. Getting my first car late this year, and your YouTube, amazing website & influential advice has helped well and truly. Massive thanks for being here, Edd X

  2. in reality looks better than the car in the video but still not even close to the older version. in my opinion

  3. dude you're getting a car this expensive and you only get a 2.0L!? My Ford Focus is also a 2.0L with 170HP and I got it for $15,000!

  4. The front of the car is just so bad.. looks like Hyundai or Kia.. I really expected just so much more from the new audi a5.. The older model looks better tho

  5. I own a 2017 Mercedes c300 coupe and use it as my daily ride. I've test drive this new A5 around three months ago. It was raining at the time so I didn't push too hard. But you can tell this car has a lot of potentials to play with. Super stable during a sharp turn, great visibility, better official acceleration compare to c coupe. But I don't really feel that./ Not sure if it is the lighter steering give me a false sense of lightness, this car feels really nimble. /The only bad part is that the steering feels unnatural, even it is accurate. Road noise is bad when you reach over 50mph, probably because of the low profile tire. I don't mean that the interior noise is louder but Mercedes clearly did a better job on keeping uncomfortable sound away from the cabin. Talking about speakers, Mercedes's Burmester speaker is way better. Perhaps the best in this class. Passenger spaces are identical on two fronts, but Audi's backseats are way more generous due to the higher roofline. Anyway, the new A5 is really reliable and good for occasions when you want to take 3 friends. Mercedes C-coupe, on the other hand, is more swaggy. (Based on personal experience, may vary.) My opinions are open.

  6. I drive a 2009 Audi 3.2 manual the best design. they stopped being nice past 2012. To robotic nasty paddle-shift front end on the new one looks like a Peugeot. Whet the fuck have they done to the head lights they had to jap them up. It looks crap. Audi go back to what you know. Bring back that rounded design. Be original.
