  1. why don't she stay home on the couch so nothing can happen to her. or is the truck gonna come find her and burge in to her bedroom?

  2. Can someone please explain to me, why don't she just sleep and don't go to school so she didn't experience the same thing over and over again? (I dont read the book im so sorry)

  3. kian is in this movie holy shit?? i got this book for christmas in my sophomore year and i was obsessed with o2l that time. what the fuck omg

  4. Many people are saying that the book is great, and I'm sure it is, but you have to rate a movie on its own accord. Also, some are saying not to compare this to Groundhog's Day, but how can you not compare a movie that completely copies the same formula? To summarise I would say, take all the comedic moments, witty dialogue and sense of wonder in a day with limitless possibilities from Groundhog's Day, and replace it with teen angst and the journey to becoming a better person that we've seen a million times before (ie. hot girl learns to be nice, ends up with nice guy) and you have Before I Fall.

What I mean by the limitless possibilities in Groundhog's Day is that they often detoured from what would be the typical relived day. Bill Murray's character would go of the trail of his day, just because he knew it would reset the next day. He even used this phenomenon of a repeating day practically. He became an expert piano player by taking lessons every repeated day and getting slightly better each day. Same for other skills. He would then apply these skills combined with all the knowledge he had gained from talking to people repeatedly to create the perfect day.

This film doesn't seem to do any of that. While it implies that the main girl is having thousands of repeated days, she doesn't learn anything new each time other than getting a few more clues as to why people behave the way they do. That's mostly what you get. Clues. There should be more real moments where she learns a lot about someone. There are moments that could go in an interesting direction, but then kind of go nowhere. Like, there's a scene with the girl's teacher and it looks as if something interesting might happen, but then it blows over and is never addressed again.

Not to say that this is a bad movie. It's not a bad movie, it's just a decent movie. The acting for every character is really good, their conversations are realistic and their interactions are believable. However, there's nothing in here that Groundhog's Day didn't do much better 25 years ago. To say that this is Groundhog's Day for teenage girls I think is an insult to teenage girls. Especially when a vast majority of fans of the book are over 30. I think a teenage girl could handle Groundhog's Day just fine because its a movie that anyone can enjoy.

You can say that they are different types of movies and that Before I Fall is supposed to have a more serious tone, but it falls into the trap of being taking itself too seriously. It's both too serious to enjoy its less significant moments, and too insignificant to take seriously. A bit of real comedy to show relief of tension might have helped. There's zero comedic or fun relief. Even in the party scenes where we are supposed to be having fun with the characters until something breaks the fun and we can feel it, it was never really fun to begin with, therefore we cant feel the break in the fun when the bad things start to happen. We are just stuck with the same feeling of hoping something good will happen regardless of what happens.

The girls are all really hot though.

  5. I don't know how old the actress is but she looks 30. And some other too. Aren't there some good young-looking actors. I want to finally believe that they are in school.

  6. Yo, I forget is there gayness in the book? I like gayness. I'm gay…ish, I'm pan…maybe. is there at least a gay ship?

  7. So what happened in the end ?? I watched it but I don't understand the end of the movie . Did she died or what??!!??

  8. No offense coz I've never read the book but like why doesn't she just not go to the party or get into the car with her friends or stay in the house till after 12:39 if there's a reason for this in the book thens that's fine I'm just confused

  9. i read the book and it absolutely destroyed me, which made me think that maybe, i'm going to be able to bear the movie without that many tears but boi, did i cry. i literally couldn't stop. the movie is really awesome, i strongly recommend, even though the book had some scenes i wish could make it to the screen but i get you can't fit a whole book into an hour and something long movie.

  10. Really want to watch this movie, but I don't think they will show it in the UK.

  11. النسخة المصرية هو فيلم 1000 مبروك بطولة احمد حلمى

  12. Seeing the actor for Kent is making my heart skip a beat, Kent is seriously one of my favourites in this book and to see him living is crazy.
