  1. I remember test driving the Compass. I thought the CV transmission was the worst mistake ever made on that car. And the visibility was garbage. The wife on the other hand didn't like the handles for the rear doors. We passed.

What I did buy and, sort of, regretted, was the Dodge Journey. I could not rotate the tires on that car without balancing them as well. So at 3k miles I had to schedule a balance or deal with a shaking wheel after a rotation. Outside of that it wasn't that bad of a car, I only wish I would have bought the 6 cyl instead of the 4 cyl.

My current car, Jeep Cherokee, I wouldn't buy again, but only because I want more room. Next may be a Tesla, Grand Cherokee, or Durango.

  2. If you think the Frontier rides rough, try the Toyota Tacoma, it rides like a buck board compared to the NISSAN. I have a 2011 model which now has 201,000 miles on it. I have had ZERO problems, only regular maintenance and just one other set of tires (91,000 on OEM tires), and one brake job (147,000 on OEM brakes). Mileage over the last 6 years has been 16.4 mpg.

  3. C'mon Acura you guys made the Legend, the Vigor, and the Integra. Any of these can do 300k miles easily. Use the new Civic platform for the ILX. I rented one of these, and it was a total disgrace. Panels rattled. The transmission was erratic. The engine sounded like it had no oil in it, and an exhaust leak.

Put some sound insulation in it. I had to pull over and use the phone because there was too much noise to use the hands-free..

  4. i regret buying a 2016 silverado the tranny is sluggish and confort sucks along with the wiper fluid motor breaking down at 4000 miles

  5. I had such a nice looking dart and got so many compliments on it but that's it. It drove like crap and the turbo had so many problems I traded it in. it was very disappointing. Got tired of going to the dealership

  7. Why would anyone buy a 2016 ILX when the 2016 Civic is/was a better car in every way and is way cheaper? Maybe for 2018 they will put the ILX on the new Civic platform, bring the interior quality above the Civic's, and put a higher output veraion of the 1.5t or a detuned version of the CTR's 2.0t under the hood. Until then, there's really no reason for anyone to even consider an ILX.

Also not sure why any car shopper would even step foot on a FCA lot though…

  9. These are all
Cheap vehicles you get what you pay for and we've know for years domestic made cars have always been junk…Nissan being the Japanese brand besides Mitsubishi is junk as well

  10. What is pokey acceleration? The ILX has a double clutch transmission so I would assume it is pretty "fast" for what it is with the 2.4 and vtec on both intake and exhaust cams

  11. I've owned dozens of cars. But all my Ford trucks have been the best. Our fleet has an 04 expedition with almost 500k miles. Still drives everyday.

  12. what do you guys think of the Hyundai elantra hatchback? i'm a 19 year old college student in need of a new reliable lasting modern car and it really catches my eye. Should I buy it?

  13. consumer reports is bs they only support Japanese cars except Honda and nissan. they say terrible things about fiat Chryslers. and they only ask their subscribers. probably most of ur subscribers are terrible car protectors because if u keep a car well they will work better. and also luxury cars are mostly made for lease not for high usage except Lexus. dodge charger, any cadillac, any buick, any Chevy, any ford, any acura, any mersedec, those are all luxury vehicles made for lease not for long term. and usually whenever people buy luxury cars they think it can handle more things than a normal like. they probably go to mountains and do burnouts every single day and rev the engine to 7000 rpm every single day. of course it will be terrible and find mechanical issues. but when they have a cheap car like Toyota they actually protect it

  14. The Nissan Pathfinder is one of the worse cars I've ever owned. I'm not surprised to see it on this list. It's definitely the car that convinced me never to buy Nissan. It was always in the repair shop.

  15. What about VW TDi..
Millions screwed over waiting forever to get a settlement so bad, they will be lucky to break even. (The Canadian buy back offer is a joke)

  16. Most of the complaints they had could have been found out with a test drive. Do people even pay attention when they test drive or look at a vehicle?

  17. I had a 12 nissan altima cvt. it got totaled this year.. I got out the car and was happy to finally get rid of that car. will never buy a nissan again. unless I find a cheap r32/r33 rwd.

  18. Owner of Audi A4 2009.
    I'm so happy with it.
I would buy this car again…. right now I'm thinking to upgrade to an Audi A6.
Quattro is the way to go.
    Audi, who would know..!!!?????

  19. these were all things that could have easily been noticed on a test drive. These buyers seemed very uneducated.

  20. Did any of the people surveyed test drive these cars? Or did they by them out of a catalogue?

Half of the issues noted in the video would've been obvious to even a casual observer during a thorough test drive. Sluggish acceleration, road noise, sloppy steering and other performance issues will be quite obvious if you don't spend the test drive yakking with the salesman.

Cheap interior? Jesus! Did they even bother to open the damn door? Who are these idiots? Screw 'em. There's plenty of readily available consumer reviews on automobiles.

If you can't be bothered to do the slightest bit of research prior to making a major purchase, then prepare to live a very financially stressful and unfulfilled existence.

Manufacturers couldn't afford to continue building lemons if ignorant fools would QUIT BUYING THEM!
