Buying a Tablet with full Pen Drive Support

There is usually not enough power to drive additional components connected to the tablet. Tablets are not computers. They are devices that allow you to connect to a network. The pen drive or the files on it should be available elsewhere on the network and the tablet would use them from there.

If you are looking for wide selection of new tablets with full size USB Ports, you have a wide option. Most tablets do come with at least one Mini-USB port but normally do not include any USB 2.0 ports. Trying to find these tablets from all others is like trying to find a needle in a haystack. But now with variety options available this won’t be of any problem.

Google Nexus 7

The Google Nexus 7 now support USB drives, new app available now from the Google Play store. The Nexus Media Importer app, once downloaded to the Nexus 7 enables users to select individual files from a flash storage drive or SD card and then copy them on to the tablet via a USB cable. To stream video, the drive will need to be continuously connected to the Nexus 7.

Nexus 7 is built by ASUS and comes with a NVIDIA® Tegra® 3 quad-core processor so everything is faster – pages load quickly, gameplay is smooth and responsive, and running multiple apps is a breeze. Patented 4-PLUS-1™ design gives you processing power when you need it, and battery saving efficiency when you don’t.

With over 9 hours of HD video playback, 10 hours of web browsing or e-reading, and up to 300 hours of standby time, Nexus 7 can go the distance. Whether you measure battery life in chapters read, levels completed, movies watched or minutes of backseat silence, you can spend less time charging and more time doing.

Lenovo ThinkPad Tablet

Made from Corning’s scratch- and break-resistant Gorilla Glass, the glossy screen is surrounded by a thin black bezel emblazoned with light grey ThinkPad and Lenovo logos. At the bottom of the front bezel sit four physical buttons that it easy to access key functions including auto rotate on/off, web browser, back, and home.

The ThinkPad Tablet has a broad selection of ports and slots. On the short bottom side of the chassis sit a headphone jack, mini HDMI out, microUSB, and docking station ports. Beneath a flap cover you’ll find a full-size SD card reader and a SIM card slot (which only works on 3G versions of the device).

The 10.1-inch 1280 x 800 screen on the ThinkPad Tablet offer wide viewing angles and colourful, sharp images. When we play HD movie trailers, the picture still seemed bright and colourful even at 90 degrees to either side. Even at 40-percent brightness, colours remained vibrant.
