  1. The port to the PS Vita is a refreshingly fun game: Muramasa Rebirth. About time something entertaining came out for the Vita, and this delivers!

  2. Gotta say. Muramasa on the vita is awesome. It is great on the wii is great and I liked it for the most part but on the vita it is quite nice. I would say nicer? But I would say that because of nice it looks on the vita. Also the translations are much better. Either way play this game. Oh yeah. DLC is coming out for the vita version. 4 new people to play with. I also hear they will have 2 chapters? That I got no idea on. But yeah. Fucking awesome.

  3. Nope, it's that red-headed punk. I don't know his name, but calling him a girl is just too funny. You'll see him in the vid reviewing "TOP 25 NINTENDO WII GAMES: 25-21 Video Game"

  4. So years of listening to that shitty song about irony and it leads up to Derek's reference during a CGR review.

    Totally worth it.

  5. you can only take out the blade when there are enemies because a muramasa blade cannot be unseated until it has drawn blood.

  6. The Playstation Vita version is soo much better. They did an update with HD graphics and the OLED screen is just plain beautiful to see this game on. It's also free this month with PS plus.

  7. I started playing the VITA version yesterday and I am already so in love with it! What a great game! I am definitely buying it for Wii too.
    Great review, Derek!

  8. The only thing I don't like about these type of games is that the environments feel like paper cut outs. (Even parappa tha rappa had nice 3D backgrounds that made you feel as if you were there, even though the characters themselves were cut out). When compared to other 2D beat'em up side scrollers (Kirby's adventure, Mega Man, Streets of Rage, and others),…their backgrounds (of the 16 bit genesis/super nintendo era) seem as if they were of the same world. The feeling I get from the backgrounds is a paper cut out. Maybe the colors are too blended and faded. Good attempt, not a complete convert over. The art is good, but seems like it needed to be done from a game standpoint in order to fit in,…..for me anyways. I've played alot of games.

  9. I just got this game today and I love it!!!!!๐Ÿ˜ป๐Ÿ˜ป๐Ÿ˜ป๐Ÿ˜ป๐Ÿ˜ป๐Ÿ˜ป๐Ÿ˜ป๐Ÿ˜ป

  10. Playing this on Ps Vita and I figured you would have a review of this. Love it and it is amazing. Reminds me of Okami. I love the artwork of this. I am a folksy Japanese art lover. My inner otaku is beaming at this game. I miss your stuff Derek.

  11. I LOVE this GAME! It s NICE! Wish I can see SNK come out with a SHAMSHO just like this when it comes to the graphics! WHo knows maybe a FINAL FIGHT this with this developer can bring LIVE TO CRAPCOM ONCE MORE! hahahahahah

  12. A year later,….finally got a chance to play it. Must say,….seeing a review and playing the "actual" game is 2 completely totally different worlds. The game is beautiful,….(still feel like paper cut outs),….but the art work and the style of how they combined the 3D paintings is true innovation and appeal in itself (if you like that sort of thing). If you appreciate that kind of art work, then you'll love the combination of animation and gameplay in here. Especially if you like beat'em ups. Its a good cool play through,…the story is kind of bland, and the replay value is a bit low if you have other games you want to play. But if you love beat'em ups then, this is a must own for your wii library. Otherwise its a pass through…..(I can't believe I'm the only one to comment on this a year later. Did they hide your videos and links like they did mine?)

  13. I always felt that it was almost criminal that this game was released on a system that had a maximum output of 480p. The visuals in this game are SOO good, it really would have benefited being in 1080p. ๐Ÿ˜”

  14. "Outdated" and "underpowered" should be burned and buried. Just imagine how much more fun these fanboys would have had if they just got over their graphics fetish long enough to enjoy videogames like Muramasa. Instead, they wasted their time crying and bawling like babies because Nintendo wouldn't give them another PS360 clone. Of course, the PS360 is now "outdated" so they're not good enough, either.

Hardcore gamers don't seem to like videogames very much. Heaven help us if they're forced to play a Commodore 64 over a weekend.
