  1. Legacy duke talk does work. You have to keep duke talk and legacy duke talk on at the same time, (Weird right?). Just to make sure I printed up all the lines off the DN3D wiki page and painstakingly went through the game and made sure all 80+ lines worked correctly. And all of them do! On a side note if you just select Legacy duke talk, only a handful of the original lines will play and the new duke talk will fill in for the missing lines. Hope this helps anyone who may have given up on world tour.

  2. The cross removal thing is courtesy of the Red Cross I saw a video about it in another game iirc

  3. They changed the symbol on the MedKits to a red pill because the Red Cross trademarked the red cross…

  4. Duke Nukem 3d: 20th anniversary cash grab edition. Seriously, fuck Gearbox. Get rid of the megaton edition and sell their own for double the price with objectively less content. Oh and removing Duke 1 and 2 from Steam.

  5. I have a question for anybody that might be able to help. I bought a new laptop recently. Intel Core i7-8750 2.2 ghz, nvidia geforce gtx 1060 with 6gb GDDR5 dedicated vRAM, 16GB DDR4 memory. I've been running newer games at 60 fps or higher no problem, but for some reason this game's 3d rendering mode is causing lag at higher resolutions. Is there something I'm missing? I can only get it to run smooth if I bump the resolution down to like 800×600.

  6. The red cross was changed due to legal action that was taken against Prison Architect by the British Red Cross, Basically the red cross on med kits while seemingly harmless in the context, The red cross said this: “If the red cross emblem or similar signs are used for other purposes, no matter how beneficial or inconsequential they may seem, the special significance of the emblem will be diminished" (also the red + sign isn't public domain ironically)

  7. So guys quick question, I don't own the Megaton Edition (on PC) And with the Summer Sale here I was wondering if the World Tour edition is worth getting for a guy who is currently mad into build engine games

  8. I prefer Eduke because mouse controls are smoother and better, but have to admit that this one looks best and episode 5 is really good. So for someone who hasnt played Duke before i would consider buying this version.
    edit
Also a flamethrower is total bonkers.

  9. I would love to see Duke make a comeback… a timely one this time. That’s all I ask.

I’m sad I only recently introduced myself to this game because I remember seeing it as a kid (my older brother and cousins would play Duke 64 back in the day. I was about 5, so I wasn’t allowed to have fun) but never got around to playing it until recently. I like this game a lot but taking the Megaton Edition off Steam was a huge (though not unexpected) dick move on Gearbox’s part. Not having the the expansion packs on here was honestly just…. WEIRD, especially considering that they’re asking for $20. Was there any real reason to not add those that I’m just missing or something? Either way, fuck you, Randy Pitchford.

  10. Idc what anybody says about this port, it's my go to. You can rewind to a certain moment (which helps against those godamn suicide drones) & the audio is awesome.

  11. Does anyone have the tip on duke nukem multiplayer matchup stuff? I want to play co op and deathmatch but it only allows for local stuff. I'm on PC

  12. If it's cheaper on sale, I'll pick it up JUST for Episode V. I've been doing a casual playthrough of the Megaton Edition on my channel (will wait until summer to do Duke Caribbean though), so I might as well round out the lot.

  13. The game is only $2.49 on PSN without an online subscription for February 2020. Get it while it’s hot!

  14. Damn. I wish I had bought a previous version. This fucking sucks. Wish there was a way to get an EDUKE compatible port in 2020.

  15. Too bad gearbox can't get their dicks out of their hands long enough to bring the duke to the switch.

  16. The removal of the red cross was due to legal copyright stuff involving ''The red cross''. Recent Doom ports had the same issue, changing the design of their medkits too.

  17. Good thing that Megaton Edition is still available from certain sources. Devolver Digital deserve the Duke Nukem name way more than Randy Pitchford.

  18. Due to legal reasons they couldn't use the red cross but why couldn't they just use a green or blue one

  19. If they could re release this edition with the remastered expansions and couch co-op I would surely be grateful

  20. I bought 20th Anniversary a couple days ago for just $2.83 Canadian off Humble Bundle got it 90% off during a sale.

  21. The change for the pills instead of the red cross is due to a legal thing. The Red Cross seems to have sued or something saying that the red cross logo is their copywright so videogames don't use them anymore.

  22. I honestly loved this game when I was a kid. Played it alongside Quake 2 and Hexen 2. Going back and playing it on my X-Box One, it gave me a headache. Looking up or down warps the background to simulate movement and just serves to give me motion sickness. Still, not the absolute worst $2.99 I've ever dropped on a game
