In the entry level smartphone market, there is always demand for a larger display while maintaining great performance, features and pricing.

In this episode of gadget review, we review the Lenovo A850, a 5.5-inch smartphone that costs below RM1000, the phone has a 5.5-inch QHD resolution IPS display, 5MP Auto focus main camera with flash, VGA front facing camera, WiFi B/G/N, Bluetooth 4.0, Dual SIM with HSPA+ support and powered by a 2250mAh battery. The A850 may be huge, but its overall user experience is pretty satisfying with its beautiful and minimalistic design, it is also very snappy in our everyday usage.

We rate it a 4 out of 5 stars.

  1. please review Lenovo A880 or A889, althought it is an import set from China, but with qHD resolution, 6 inch display, and with price aroun 420-460, it is better than A850 and more value for money

  2. My Lenovo a850, the GPS keeps on, I disable it many times but it still on.. I don't install anything that would make it turn on secretly, I even reset my fon to factory but it still given me dat problem. Can u help me solve it? It coz my batt drained fast

  3. ithanks klgadgetguy, im from malaysia too. i am also planning to buy one, but cant make up my mind between A850 and A859. i see that both of this model is at around the same price.only the year gap. why does the interface on A850 different from the A859 when both is using the same software/system/operating system, Android 4.2???? i like the A850  because of the large screen. but i also like the A859 because of its user interface, similar to iOS7 on Apple. Can someone/anyone help me decide?? i dont want to buy and regret. thank you.
