Welcome to the 102nd
Feature of Friday’s Ramblin Roundup!
Oh, hi! It’s Friday! Welcome to the 102nd feature of Friday’s Ramblin Roundup! Did you know the Empire State Building has 102 floors?
Today’s show is packed with particles and a ProTip about finding your way on the internet. Ready?
Go Inside the Large Hadron Collider with Google’s Street View
You’re probably already aware that Google’s Street View can take you inside businesses. Coincidentally, these virtual tours are a service Rambin Jackson now offers! But did you know it can now take you inside a supercollider?
The Large Hadron Collider in Geneva Switzerland, to be exact. Google’s new imagery shows the labs at the European Organization for Nuclear Research — also known as CERN — from control centers to underground tunnels. The coolest part shows the Collider, responsible for the discovery last November of two previously unobserved particles. Housed in a 17-mile ring hundreds of feet underground, the facility is so massive, it took Street View teams two weeks to photograph it all.
Shameless plug: On a smaller scale and closer to home, Ramblin Jackson now offers Google Virtual Tours!
If you’re a retailer, adding the interior of your establishment to Google can be a great way to show your customers what you have to offer before they ever even set foot inside your store! Contact us for details and a free estimate!

How to get Found Online with Customer Reviews
This week’s Pro Tip will help you get found online and also increase the number of people who actually choose your business over other search results. This tip is brought to you by Ramblin Jackson’s Web Marketing Manager, Jeffrey Magner.
Ask your customers for reviews. Make it easy for them by emailing them the link to your review sites.
If you have a local business, now is the time to get reviews. Get as many reviews as you can on Google Places, Yelp, Citysearch, and Yahoo Local. Online reviews are critical to your rankings in the local listings.
The best way to get reviews is to ask your individual customers one at a time by sending them an email with a link to your local listings, or just pick up the phone and call them and ask them. You’ll be surprised by how many people will say yes.
Get reviews on at least three web properties — not just Google. Ask people to write reviews where they feel most comfortable writing them. Learn more about our local search engine optimization services.
