  1. Haha thansk for the comment. I wasn't in the dark, I was just playing around with different lighting options and ideas in this video. I will have to adjust them in my next videos.

  2. Yea, that is why I say I leave it up to them because it is their business. As long as you don't have a huge spike in reviews that is out of the normal it is fine. But, if you average about 10 reviews a month and all of a sudden you get 10 in a week it will raise some flags. Just keep it consistent and get real reviews and you should be fine.

  3. Thanks David. I think as long as you're careful and don't get huge spikes of yelp reviews it could be effective. But, if you can get reviews without it then its probably not worth even trying. I really just leave it up to the business owner, I should probably brought more attention to that…thanks for the comment.

  4. Hey David, I was thinking about this a little more and I ended up adding an annotation to the video to let viewers know there are risks to soliciting reviews. Thanks for your comment, I appreciate it.

  5. Yea, I am beginning to hear an increasing amount of people saying this. Yelp frowns upon you sending over people to leave you reviews or incentive. If you do it you need to make sure not to send them all at once and send over people who are active on Yelp. It's a red flag to yelp if you have reviews from users who have never left a review before. It is best to get Yelp reviews organically. Do you know if the people leaving reviews were active members or did they just sign up and leave a review?

  6. I agree, I am not sure what their "game plan" is but it seems like more and more people are experiencing that. I haven't personally experienced this yet with any profiles so I am not sure what the best plan of action is.

  7. This is cool, good video. Would you do one of these on Bizzun com? This is my website it is similar to Yelp but we do not have the negative practices. We do not show just the negative reviews and we do not have a review filter. Feel free to check us out. Good video like I said.

  8. Holy crap, do NOT offer an incentive for a review.  Yelp is way smarter than you think.  You will find your reviews in Yelp purgatory in a heart bet.  A Checkin offer is very different than an incentive for a review.

  9. Yelp reviews can make or break your business' online reputation, so it's important to be familiar with it and to learn how to use it to your advantage.

  10. What we do to get our clients Yelp Reviews is we build them a private review page. The client gives a card to each & every customer (client or patient) that sends them to that review page. If it is good, they are redirected to a page that asks them to leave that same review on Yelp (or elsewhere depending on where the client wants the most reviews). So basically, it filters the reviews so a business no longer has to worry about asking for reviews not knowing what will surface. Does that make sense?

  11. These instructions are mostly for business owners with an actual store. How about more ideas for an online business operating from home?

  12. Thank you for this video. I have a question. I'm a business owner. Yelp filtered 75% of my reviews and on keeping 25% reviews on the page. I have 280 reviews got filtered and only have 100 reviews left. Yelp is still keep filtering my reviews. At this situation, what can I do?
