I told you the rumor last week and now it has been confirmed. Details on Kinect support for Mass Effect 3 right here on Clevver Games.

Hi everyone I’m Andrea Rene and you’re watching our ongoing E3 2011 coverage. This morning at the Microsoft Press Conference, Electronic Arts confirmed that there will be Kinect support for their upcoming RPG Shooter Mass Effect 3.

I previously told you Mass Effect 3 has been delayed until early 2012 and now we know why. At the press conference they demoed the voice support for Kinect. Instead of pushing a button to move conversation forward, you can now speak your selections, allowing for enhanced gaming experience that I personally think is pretty awesome.

But even cooler than that is the ability to give vocal commands during battle to your comrades. In the demo they showed how to move your teammates forward and how to use their powers like Liara’s singularity. The ability to integrate Kinect will allow gamers to get out of the weapon wheel to greatly speed up the pace of combat.

I don’t know about you guys but I am STOKED for this. Makes my Kinect purchase worth it I’d say. What do you guys think? Like the Kinect support? Or aren’t you a fan of the Kinect? 1. That is friggin awesome. Definitely makes gun battles worth it. I hope they do this with other shooters.

  2. I'm a HUGE ME fan and I own a Kinect. I bought the Kinect for party games, but this, is wicked awesome.

  3. Why couldn't you just use the mic instead of a $200 or so add on? Is there motion controls too?
