  1. Brian, thanks for the review/update.  I agree 100% about those brakes. I have a '13 SV. Brakes are very touchy. Don't like either. Number one thing that I hate, for me, is the rough ride. I have a bad back and any thing other than a smooth road, you will feel every single bump! I will NOT be buying it after my lease is up!

  2. Great review. I have a ’13 SL since august 2013 and I enjoyed every single mile done in this car.
About the brake issue, isn’t about the regen system ? When the battery charge is high, the braking is done mostly mechanically, which is more aggressive than the regen braking done otherwise.

  3. Regen does not work well if battery level is more than 90%. Also if you have first generation car regen changes with ECO button. With gen2 there is no problem with brakes (I have 2014 gen2 Leaf, UK model, all fine). Ask for update maybe. How cold was it in the winter when there were problems?

  4. this would be a good car for the grandma that has a short radius of daily travel. Pain in the ass for any other person. I recommend a Diesel Jetta, they have a range of 670 miles on 15 gallons of diesel.

  5. Can you charge your car to 90% and drive until your battery is 20% and tell us how many miles did you drive
