I give my thoughts on Deadlocked by Charlaine Harris. Deadlocked is book 12 — the penultimate — in the Southern Vampire Mysteries/Sookie Stackhouse novels/True Blood books on which the HBO show True Blood is based (albeit loosely, haha).

It's awful. Don't even bother paying for it.
I just read the first 3 chapters,, and the diagloge is dry. Sookie;s personality and spunk is gone. It is readable though, I have grown to love the characters.
I can understand your point, but honestly, I feel the characters are just parodies of themselves now.
