Big Fucking Giant. First words that came to mind for B.F.G.
What my mom and I thought this movie was called when it was first advertised: "The Big Fuc…riendly Giant" lol
The movie was fine and enjoyable. Yeah, the second part of the movie left me kinda disappointed but it's ok. I'd give it a B as well.
I give this a B+
I felt so stupid for laughing at the fart propelled Corgies.
one of the best Disney movies I seen in a long time
Must disagree. Very dull film. No tension or conflict, no motive. Unnecessary CGI. Unimpressed by child actor.
I don't want to criticise john Williams, but does it only seem he'll work for only spielberg, and maybe a few other directors? Maybe it would only work with spielberg, because, well, spielberg!
christian bale in empire of the sun being amazing was the most accurate part of this review.
but i do really like you, mr. stuckmann
Wait, isn't there any horror in this movie? Cause in the book all the other giants go off at night to snatch children from their beds and eat them. There's an animated version where The Flesh-Lump-Eater (I think that was his name) deliberately keeps one fingernail long and pointy to skewer them with. That fucked me up for a while.
Great film with hart and emotion and great VFX
I hated this movie so much
I was just Stuckmannized so hard
my girl and our kids were in awe Watching this film. It's Sad to see how poorly the box office numbers were. I definitely recommend this be watched with your family. Good movie!!
I hated this film and the actress.
I honestly I was very dissapointed with this movie. You said children will loved, I'm not sure because it's really boring. The most of the movie is just little girl having exposition with giant, mostly in one room. I don't know is only me, but listening over and over exposition from giant who talk very wierd and incomprehensibly is tiring. The pacing is very slow, a lot of unnescessary scenes are way to long, like dinner with british queen. Even action scenes looks boring. Sophie is a very flat character, all what we know about her came only from exposition. Great actress? Not really, she never show big emotions like fear, or excitement. PS And I'm not a fun of fart jokes for Christ sake!
I couldn't stand this movie. First Spielberg movie I turned off.
I used to think that BFG stood for ' Big Fat Giant '.

I couldn’t stand the girls acting. It sounded like she was reading off a script and lacked emotion
he grew up with bfg
Compared to the animated movie this is dog shit. You actually felt scared of the Giants these were just a joke and David Jason was a way better bfg
I was surprised by this film. It was so much better than I thought it would be. Good film.
It would be a C+ for me
Dakota Fanning in War of the Worlds is GREAT!!! maybe better.
Well, I really liked her, too. I don't know why some critics said that she was wooden.
The second half of the movie felt like it was falling apart for you because you likely didn't notice the secret hidden plotline. Most people probably never will.
i just don't like fart jokes eww.
So, where is the big fucking gun?
I like this movie
You kind of wouldn't be expecting Steven Spielberg directing a Disney movie but, it's actually neat that he did since he directed all the other famous movies like:
Close Encounters Of The Third Kind (1977)
Raiders Of The Lost Ark (1981)
E.T. The Extra Terrestrial (1982)
Poltergeist (1982)
Gremlins (1984)
The Goonies (1985)
That bald headed guy in Raiders Of The Lost Ark, Toht gets his face melted off by something hot.
Are you joking? Whoever played Sophie cant act. Did you even watch it??
I really find not killing the bad giants dumb, I mean these guys have been eating kids for decades and you just kinda say "now think about what you've done and come back when you say sorry" hell even the leader is kinda like "eh this sucks, gonna have to eat Frank first, if we can sustain ourselves on kids than Frank should last a couple years"
The BFG is my favourite…..Doom weapon.
I can't forget the Indiana Jones movies like:
The Temple Of Doom (1984)
The Last Crusade (1989)
The Kingdom Of The Crystal Skull (2008)
I still watch Hook.
The big fucking gun
I give this move a B. . . . . FG
The Big Fat Gay
retard film the old one is amazing this shit is trash
Too boring….slow pacing and unbelievable of emotional responses to freak out moments….very bland… pointless lives of giant characters….imo….much love to you Chris!!!!
BFG is a C for me
Gods of Egypt was much better than this ”It's a Spilberg film so is a great movie".
I read the book… Instead of Big Friendly Giant i called it Big F***ing Garbage
This version was truely awful. Not scary at all!! They cartoon even with dated animation was and is still amazing.
The child actor ruined it for me.
